Are the Ten Commandments not applicable anymore?
Let me begin at the beginning.
The Word of the Lord God is true and stands until the end of time. This means that both the Old Testament and the New Testament is valid until the end of time. This leads me to believe that the Lord God's Word in the Old Testament is applicable yesterday, today and tomorrow. It will never cease to be applicable and relevant. We have to obey His Word. This is the premise I stand on, that is the whole Bible is valid until the end of time. I am saying this as I have found that some churches have discarded the Ten Commandments as not applicable to them. It gets worse but please read on.
Covenants of the Lord God
The Lord God Heavenly Father, made a few covenants with us.
One of the earliest covenant was with Noah when He promised that never again will he allow a flood to kill all life on earth.
Genesis 9:8-17 'Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him: "I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you and with every living creature that was with you the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you every living creature on earth. I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth."
Genesis 9:15-16 "I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."
The Lord God made many covenants with Abraham, Jacob and Israel. These promises have stood the test of time.
The Laws of the Ten Commandments
Later the Lord God Himself gives the Ten Commandments to Moses. Don't ever think that the Lord God gave the Ten Commandments for His convenience. He gave them for our benefit. I quote Ten Commandments from https://www.biblegateway.com/ below.
Exodus 20:2 "I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery."
Exodus 20:3 "You shall have no other gods before me."
Exodus 20:4-6 "You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.
Exodus 20:7 "You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name."
Exodus 20:8 -11 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
Exodus 20:12 "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you."
Exodus 20:13 "You shall not murder."
Exodus 20:14 "You shall not commit adultery."
Exodus 20:15 "You shall not steal."
Exodus 20:16 "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor."
Exodus 20:17 "You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."
You shall not murder
Here the lord God says "You shall not murder" which means do not deliberately kill someone. Even in Noah's time, before Moses, the Lord God said in Genesis 9:4-6 "But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it. And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being. Whoever sheds human blood, by humans shall their blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made mankind."
The last covenant
The last covenant the Lord God made with us was through Jesus Christ. Our Lord Jesus Christ nullified or cancelled the Jewish laws, given by the Lord God, regarding food and drinks and certain customs that Christians do not practice anymore. He never nullified the Ten Commandments as those laws stands until the end of time. The Ten Commandments tell us how to behave in relationship to each other and this is the importance of the Ten Commandments.
I have seen many Christians have denied the laws and judgment but claimed that Christian are given grace like it was okay to lie, cheat, steal, ... etc and because of Jesus Christ's grace they could go to heaven. I ask you again, if you read the Bible, you will realize that the Lord God hated liars.
I tell you that many people listen to Satan and lie for him and then run to Jesus Christ for help. They are locked in this habitual cycle - lie for Satan then ask Jesus Christ for help and they keep repeating this type of behavior, lie for Satan then ask Jesus for help, lie for Satan then ask Jesus for help ... STOP IT NOW. Stop lying today and try to tell the truth. The warning is in the Book of Revelations. Revelation 21:8 "But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."
Most of the Ten Commandments can be summarized to "don't lie". "You shall not murder" which means don't lie to yourself that you have the authority to take a life. "You shall not commit adultery" means do not lie to yourself that someone's wife can be your temporary wife. "You shall not steal". This means that you are not to lie to yourself and others that you are the owner of other people's property, so that you can take those items. "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor." Means do not tell lies about your neighbors. "You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor." Is similar to "do not commit adultery" and "not to steal".
Lying is what Satan does best. He makes you believe in lies so that you will deceive yourself into believing that your actions are justified and righteous. Once you believe you are righteous and justified you will carry out any number of evil and wicked deeds and believe you will go to heaven. Where do you draw the line? When will you say I will not do this or that or I will not say this or that? The line is drawn when you obey the Ten Commandments.
In fact our Lord Jesus Christ was stricter about the law then the Lord God YHWH. For example in Exodus 20:14 the Ten Commandments says "You shall not commit adultery." But Jesus Christ was very strict about the law. He came to fulfill the scriptures.
The Fulfillment of the Law
Jesus says in Matthew 5:17-20 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven."
Exodus 20:14 says "You shall not commit adultery." Jesus is stricter then the commandment. He warns us of that in Matthew 5:28 "But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
This shows that the Lord God forbid the act of adultery but Jesus Christ forbid lustful thinking. Before Jesus, the act of adultery was sinful but after Jesus even the thought of adultery is sinful. Jesus was stricter than the Lord God.
Jesus Christ wanted us to uphold the law. In Matthew 5 Jesus Christ confirms that there will be judgment.
Matthew 5:22 "But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment." Here again Jesus Christ says that we will be subject to judgment.
1 Samuel 3:11 And the Lord said to Samuel: "See, I am about to do something in Israel that will make the ears of everyone who hears about it tingle. At that time I will carry out against Eli everything I spoke against his family-from beginning to end. For I told him that I would judge his family forever because of the sin he knew about; his sons blasphemed God, and he failed to restrain them. Therefore I swore to the house of Eli, "The guilt of Eli's house will never be atoned for by sacrifice or offering."
1 Samuel 2:25 'Eli says "If a man sins against another man, God may mediate for him; but if a man sins against the Lord, who will intercede for him?" His sons, however, did not listen to their father's rebuke, for it was the Lord's will to put them to death.'
Later the Lord God killed Eli's sons - the promised judgment carried out.
The judgment on Eli's house shows that the Lord God passes judgment on people every day.
Teach your children the Ten Commandments and to fear the Lord God and restrain them when necessary. Otherwise they may turn against the Lord God and suffer His judgment.
Psalm 37:1-3 says "Don't be upset because of evil people. Don't be jealous of those who do wrong, because like the grass, they will dry up. Like green plants, they will soon die away. Trust the Lord and do good."
Psalm 37:9-10 says "For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land. A little while and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them they will be no more. But the meek will inherit the land and will enjoy great peace."
This clearly says that there will be judgment on the evil people but the Lord God will bless the meek. What does the Lord mean by 'the meek'? I believe the Lord God meant those that humble themselves to the Lord God and put the Lord God first. These are people who do not run after their own glory but give all the glory to God.
Please read the whole of Psalm 37 and understand that God's judgment and generosity is overriding. The claim that many Christians make, that there being no judgment for them, is not relevant nor applicable. It is up to the Lord God and not yourselves. Just imagine a thief telling the judge that he cannot be judged and the judge cannot pass judgement on him. Is judgment up to the thief or up to the judge?
Kept my visions a secret
The Lord has shown me many things in Heaven and earth. Jesus Christ knew that I would never tell about all the visions I have had over the years. A few weeks ago he appeared to me and told me to explain what the Lord God had shown me. This is the only reason I am speaking up, to honor my Lord Jesus Christ.
Meeting Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ
I have met Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ a few times in heaven. On one occasion I was standing on the right hand of Jesus Christ who was standing on the right hand of the Lord God. The floor around Heavenly Father's throne, which was on a platform, appeared glassy and the throne was surround by white clouds. He showed me many things and gave me insight into the workings of his creation.
Even in Mark 16:19 "After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God."
Acts 7:55-56 'But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. "Look," he said, "I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God."'
The Destruction of the world
Three times in my life, when I was a boy, an angel of the Lord took me around the whole world, in a vision and showed me the destruction of many nations. I do not know when it will be, whether it will be while I am still alive or after I have left this earth.
Meeting with the Ancient of Days
When I was 5 years old, in 1963, I met with the Ancient of Days and He told me that the antichrist had been born in Egypt. I kept this a secret as I did not understand this. It was a few years ago, about 50 years after receiving this message, that I finally understood what the Ancient of Days told me. The spirit of the Anti-Christ was born on earth or entered the earth in 1963 and influenced the Muslim fundamentalist to wage a war against the Lord God in the name of the Lord God.
You see Jesus Christ says in John 16: 1-3 "All this I have told you so that you will not fall away. They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God. They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me.
Jesus foretold the advent of the Muslim terrorist 2000 years ago.
The question I now ask you is: 'Did Jesus Christ forgive Paul for the murder of Stephen?'
We are saved by God's grace
Many years later I was again taken up to heaven in a vision and shown many things about the workings of the world.
Ephesians 2:8-10 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Many churches believe that it is no use to do good works because we have been saved by Jesus Christ. They will tell you it is not like a bank account where you can make deposit and cancel the bad with good works. As a result of such teachings many Christians think they can keep sinning and Jesus Christ will save them and allow them to go to heaven. This is wrong because in Matthew 18:23-27 "Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand bags of gold was brought to him. Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt. At this the servant fell on his knees before him. 'Be patient with me,' he begged, 'and I will pay back everything.' The servant's master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.".
Everything is recorded, your good deeds and your bad deeds, if not, without the evidence, how would the Lord God, the Judge, pass judgment on you?
The correct explanation is that we have committed so much sin that even if we spend a lifetime doing good works we cannot cancel out our sin. This is because we have done much more sin then good. This is the reason we are saved by God's grace and not by any good works that we may have done, because all the good works we do will be insufficient to cover our sins. This is the reason Jesus Christ's grace is very important. Without his grace all of us will go to hell and not to heaven. What is sin? Sin is disobedience to the Lord God ie not following the Ten Commandments too.
We are expected to do good works as this is Jesus Christ's legacy.
The Law and Grace
The Law and Grace must go hand in hand. You cannot deny one and accept the other. The Lord God gave us the Law first, for us to obey him. After that He gave us grace through Jesus Christ. The Law was given to bring us to a common standard. This is just like going to university. In the first year many students come from different backgrounds and have different skills. Some are weak in certain subjects and others are very knowledgeable. The first year is to bring all the students to a common standard. The second year is the most difficult year and all the students are taught new subjects. Similarly the Law was given to bring us to a common standard after which we are taught about Jesus Christ and grace. And by the final year we are doing miracles in the name of Jesus Christ.
If we do not follow the law of the Ten Commandments what type of animals will we become? We will lie, cheat, steal, rape, murder, swindle in order to satisfy our own desires - this is already happening in Malaysia, USA, Middle East and many other countries. Is that what you want to become, a lawless person? What are you going to teach the next generation? Are you going to tell them it is okay and Jesus will forgive you - keep doing those bad things because you were baptized and Jesus will take you to heaven?
Oh My God! What utter rubbish. If that was true then Hitler will be looking down at us from heaven and laughing at us all. He must be thinking what stupid foolish people we are for following the law because he was baptized as a Catholic in 1889 and has been saved. Oh, by the way modern civil law, the law most of us obey, originated from biblical law.
The Malaysian Church is defiant about the Ten Commandments
Honestly, many churchs in Malaysia avoid the Ten Commandments. Some have gone as far as to say that the Old Testament is not necessary because Christians are under the grace of Jesus Christ. My God what horrid teachings. I was so horrified by such teachings that I had asked these people to tear out the Old Testament from their Bible. It was then that they were shocked at what they were saying. We have the grace of Jesus Christ because we try to obey the Law. What is the use of grace if there is no law? Just imagine yourself running around in a concreted jungle because the you have become prey to lawless people. They hunt you down to steal from you or to rape or murder you because what you look like. Is that the lawless world you want to live in? Jesus Christ himself said that he did not abolish the Law.
I have met many pastors who only quote what Paul said but hardly ever quote our Lord Jesus Christ. Are they worshipping Paul or Jesus Christ? They go as far as to claim that the law is not important and only the grace of Jesus Christ is important. I have seen many Christian lying and cheating because of this type of teaching. Don't they know that Paul was a strict Pharisees which meant that he strictly followed the Ten Commandments. It is because he was obdient to the Law that the Lord gave him grace to do many miracles. Would you give a thief access to your home? No because you would not trust him not to steal anything from your home. Would you give a murderer a knife or a gun? No, because he may use it to kill you. Like wise why would the Lord God give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven when you may use it against our Lord? This is why obedience to the Ten Commandments is very important. It is not to show the Lord God that you are trusty worthy but to reveal to yourself and to others that you can be trusted in any situation.
Why is it that the Christians pastors never mention that Paul obeyed the Ten Commandments? They quote many of his sayings on grace but never mentioned that he was obedient to the Law of Ten Commandments.
What is the use of a Kingdom if there are no laws? If there are no laws there will not be a king to rule over the kingdom as everyone will be lawless animals. When the subjects break the law, it is the king who provides the grace to pardon them. What is grace? Grace is the love of God.
When you have no love in your heart how do you behave? You need to fall back on the Ten Commandments to guide you. I tell if you do not follow the Ten Commandments you will become lawless when there is no love in your heart. What is the use of love alone because murderers, rapist, thieves, cheats, robbers, can show love to their children too, so our love by itself is not righteous without the Law.
Can the wicked enter heaven?
Let me put it this way, if you lie, swindle, cheat, steal, murder, rape do you think that the Lord God will allow you to enter heaven? If he did, take a guess as to what you would do in heaven? You would lie, steal, swindle, cheat, murder and rape the angles, wouldn't you? Because that is your character. So why would Heavenly Father want to turn heaven into a living hell? Look at it this way, if every evil and wicked deed could be forgiven, even Satan will ask the Lord God for forgiveness and go to heaven, right?
Look at the people of Malaysia today. Many of them lie, cheat, steal, swindle to get rich quick. None have mercy for others. They run after their own glory. This type of behavior is rampant and widespread. The truth is that most Malaysians have become wicked.
The Law and Grace
The Law and Grace must go hand in hand. When you obey the law you will receive a multitude of blessings. I can personally testify to this. When I was a director of a factory, I succeeded in developing a new technology. As I came close to finishing the development the other directors, who were the investors, decide to remove me as the director and take over the operations because they wanted a bigger share of the profits. That meant I would not have a say in running my own company. I prayed to the Lord God and told Him that I cannot lie or cheat these people even though they became greedier and have turned against me. What is impossible for us is easy for the Lord God. He sent his army and closed down the factory. That was brilliant.
Even Jesus Christ can deny us
Grace alone is not sufficient to enter heaven. As Jesus Christ says in Matthew 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
I found that many people did not understand this. Let me give you an example that does occur in real life. A man gets a scholarship to study medicine. After years of study and apprenticeship he finally starts his own clinic. Over the years he finds that he can earn good money as a practicing medical doctor. Then one day it dawns on him that if he did not cure his patients but just relieves their symptoms he could earn a lot more money for a much longer time. The longer they suffer the longer he can charge them for medication and treatment. So now he uses his training as a medical doctor to prolong the patient's suffering and provide fake cures.
Did you understand what Jesus meant in Matthew 7:21-23? He says that after teaching and training you and giving your many gifts, you abused these teaching and gifts and you turned against him. That is why he will tell many, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'. Always monitor your motives for doing anything. Are they in line with Jesus's teachings or are you being influenced by others.
Follow the Ten Commandments
Let me explain to you why we need to follow the Ten Commandments. The Lord God gave the Ten Commandments after the Israelites were freed from bondage in Egypt where they were slaves. This was because the Lord God instructed Moses to bring them out of Egypt. Once the Israelites were freed from Egypt He gave them the Ten Commandments.
The Christian pastors are to save us and set us free. The very first thing we need to do, to honour our Lord God for setting us free, is to obey the Ten Commandments just like the Israelites.
Do you want to live in a world where everything is based upon lying and cheating? Do you want to live a life where no one will trust you?
I am just the messenger so do not get angry with me for writing this article. If you want to get angry with anyone please get angry with the Lord God for not following your version of the Bible.
The glory belongs to the Lord God and Jesus Christ.
